A wooden bucket shape bound with bamboo containing a brass liner meant to be filled with ash and a gotoku tri-pronged ceramic stand for a tea pot. Outside it is decorated in thick lacquer with a skull abandoned among golden weeds, a lone cricket offering a melancholy ballad nearby. The artwork is signed in the upper left with black lacquer followed by a red lacquer seal. The piece is 27.5 cm (11 inches) diameter, 25.5 cm (10 inches) tall and in overall excellent condition. It will be shipped without ash.
