A Taisho period painting of a Taiwanese Blue Magpie known in Japanese as Yamamusume (Daughter of the Mountains) by Saito Ryuko dating from the Taisho period. Pigment on silk in a silk border patterned with ripples, featuring bone rollers. It is 65 x 214 cm (25-1/2 inches by 7 feet) and in overall fine condition, enclosed in a period wooden box.
