Tempestuous waves crash and curl about gold studded shoals on wrapping this exquisite tea container by Nomura Daisen enclosed in a signed black lacquered wooden box. It is 7.5 cm diameter, roughly the same height and in excellent condition.
Nimura Daisen II was born in 1951, third son of the first generation Daisen. He began studying under his father in 1973, while attending the Kanazawa College of Art, graduating in 1975. He succeeded the family name in 1998.
