A rare Minpei (Mimpei) yaki pottery vase decorated with sukashi, open frets under a handle burgeoning with loaded grapevines enclosed in an old wooden box darkened with age. Repairs to the handle. Beautiful auberge color, on white with green leaves over purple grapes. It is 16 x 15 x 16 cm (6 x 6-1/2 x 6 inches) and is in excellent condition. There is a repair to the leaves clinging to the handle on one side (see close-up details).
