Certainly, one of the stars of this show, a rare large work by the shy Suzuki Yusaku decorated with a pattern of repeated elongated faces enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Omonaga-san. It is 31 cm (12 inches) diameter, 35 cm (14 inches) tall and in excellent condition, directly from the artist this year.
Suzuki Yusaku was born in Aichi prefecture in central Japan in 1991 and graduated the Nagoya Zokei University Ceramics Course in 2014. He started drawing in the latter half of his sophomore year in college and this practice became the foundation of his current artistic style as well as a key element of his work’s appeal. He holds both group and solo exhibitions across Japan.
