A modern calligraphy work by the mysterious Yanagi Yorimasa enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Wa (harmony) and dated a fortunate time in 11th month of Showa 43 (1968). Ink on paper in a burgundy border extended in beige cloth, it is 49 x 98 cm (20 x 38-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition. Little is known of Yanagi Morimasa (born 1902), yet five works are held in the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art as well as work in the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Art.
