A 19th century Image of a neko-tora tiger at rest among bamboo, all im a dark olive patoina but the eyes which glint with gold. It is 31 x 16 x 26 cm (12 x 6-1/2 x 10-1/2 inches) and is in fine condition. Unlike later bronze casting of the Meiji era, this is quite heavy, weighing just more than 5 kg (11 pounds of solid bronze!).
