An unusual round bowl with cover carved in the shape of a Tai (red snapper) turning upon itself carved rom wood and covered in red and black lacquer dating from the mid 20th century. It is 21 cm (just over 8 inches) diameter, 10 cm (4 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
