An Enso circle containing the characters Shogen Ka-Kaku Nari (In the Pine Pavilion, Flowers and Cranes Flourish) by Zen priest and famed calligrapher Kasumi Bunsho enclosed in the orignal signed wooden box.  The ink on paper image is enclosed in a green silk border extended with beige terminating in black lacquered wooden rollers. Kasumi Bunsho (1905-1988) Born in Gifu, he became head priest of Kaiseiji (formerly headed by Nakahara Nantenbo 1839-1925, at that time closed) in 1943, and re-opened the temple in 1949. In 1990 he was appointed Abbot of Myoshinji Temple. He also used the names Dainan, Nan-in, Nanyo and Katsuun. He was strongly influenced by both Nantenbo and Kutsu Deiryu.
