A powerful white vessel reminiscent to me of the pure forms of medieval Korean ceramics by Hitomi Kazuki enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled simply Hanaire. The vase is 23 cm (9 inches) diameter, 32.5 cm (13 inches) tall and in excellent condition, directly from the artist.
Hitomi Kazuki was born in Okayama City, neighboring the Bizen pottery district, in 1991. He Completed the course at the Tajimi Ceramic Design Institute in 2015, and moved back to Bizen City where he has lived and worked since. By adding iron powder to white porcelain clay, he creates pottery with a unique expression that changes in the kiln. Hitomi says: I mainly produce white vessels with a distinctive kiln effect caused by iron mixed with clay and glaze.
