A chagake Tea room scroll, long and narrow, with an ink image of a traveling stick and water gourd, calling to mind images of wandering freely through the forests, like the great poets like Basho and Santoka. Ink on paper in a cloth mounting extended with crushed momigami paper with black lacquered wooden rollers enclosed in a period wooden box. It is 18 x 181.5 cm (7-1/4 x 71-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition.
