Omori Mitsuhiko, (1892 -1954) was a Japanese ceramic artist born in Asahi Village (present-day Tatsuno) in Nagano Prefecture and graduated from the Aichi Prefectural Seto Ceramics School. While working for the Nagano Prefectural Government, he assisted with the production of Zenkōji-yaki ware. After moving to the Tokyo area and working in Kawasaki City, he established the Tōya Kiln (Tōyagama) in 1924 in Nakano, Tokyo, where he dedicated himself to ceramics production. He held solo exhibitions at major department stores such as Matsuya Ginza and Shirakiya in Nihonbashi. From 1933, he served as a juror for the Japan Art Association. He later taught at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and traveled to mainland China under commissions from the Asia Development Board (Kōain), the Greater East Asia Ministry, and the Ministry of Education. Omori was particularly devoted to deep crimson "chicken-blood" glazes and celadon.  A retrospective of his life’s work was held at the Tatsuno Museum in 2022.
