A stunningly delicate image of a whispy Ibis, slender as a sapling, at rest upon a fallen log at the waters edge, so delicately depicted it seems ephemeral despite the metal medium, as if it were to disappear if one blinks. It is signed on the base of the log. It measures 38.5 x 13 x 18.5 cm (15 x 5 x 7-1/4 inches) and is in excellent condition, dating from early in the 20th century.
