Exhibited Mizusashi Water Container ー服部 全四郎 "布目象嵌水指"
A beautiful organic Mizusashi decorated with slip inlayed patterns on the cloth textured surface by Hattori Zenshiro exhibited at the 12th Tanabe Museum Cha no Yu no Zokei Ten (modern tea forms exhibition) enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Nunome Zogan Mizusashi. It is roughly 21 x 21 x 21 cm (8-1/4 inches on all sides) and is in excellent condition.
Hattori Zenshiro was born in Kyoto in 1958 and studied under the fifth generation Asami Gorosuke before entering the Fujihira Ceramic Company in 1985. The following year he moved to Shimane, absorbing the pottery traditions there before going independent in 1989. He has been exhibited and awarded at the Tanabe Museum Chanoyu no Zokei Ten as well as the Shimane Prefectural Art Exhibition.
