Edo p. Wood Tray Carved in the Shape of a Torn Basket

An exceptional wooden tray carved in the shape of a dilapidated bamboo basket signed on the underside and dated Bunsei 3 (1820) enclosed in an old wooden box.  It is 40 x 35.5 x 12.5 cm (16 x 14 x 5 inches) and in excellent condition.
