A striking visual form covered in crackled saphire blue by Kimura Yoshiro enclosed in the originla signed wooden box titled Hekiyu Ryoshoku Ki.  It is 34 cm (almost 14 inches) tall and in perfect condition.

A stylish blade-like form in Mediterranean blue by Kimura Yoshiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kimura Yoshiro was born in Ehime on the Island of Shikoku ion 1946.  He has been selected and awarded at a multitude of public events including the 31st National Traditional Crafts Exhibition (Nihon Dento Kogeiten), the 1st Ceramics Biennial in 1989, the Hiroshima Art Grant Award 1990, Bronze Prize, Exhibition of the Sixth Taiwan Golden Ceramics Awards in 2000, the Kaneshige Toyo Prize in 2001, the 2003 Sanyo Shimbun Culture Prize, 62nd Chugoku Cultural Prize in 2005 and the 2020 Asahi Shimbun Newspaper Prize at the 67th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition among many others.  His work is held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, the Japan Foundation, the Imperial Household Agency, The Gifu Museum of Contemporary Ceramic Art, the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, the Tanabe Museum of Art, the Shigaraki Cultural Ceramic Park, the Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum, the Faenza Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Italy, the Auckland Institute & Museum in New Zealand, the Museo Art Nouveau y Art Déco, Spain, the Museu Nacional do Azulejo in Portugal, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Musée national de céramique in France, the Taipei Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia, the Auckland Museum in New Zealand and the British Museum among others.
