A deep glimmering gold tea bowl impre3ssed and scored by the artists fingers by Ishiyama Tetsuya enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Dimple Bowl.  It is 14 cm diameter (roughly 5-1/2 inches) 12 cm (5 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

Ishiyama Tetsuya: was born in Saitama in 1973, and has made a name for himself over the last five decades blurring the lines between sculpture and vessel, material and appearance. He received the Grand Prize at the 13th Tea Bowl Exhibition in 2001.Following that he was selected to work at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park where he became a Technical Assistant from 2005-2010. In 2006 he received the 44th Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition Prize and in 2008 the 46th Asahi Ceramic art Exhibition prize. Two years later he was awarded at the Nihon Dento Kogeiten (National Traditional Craft Exhibition). In 2013 he received the Shiga Prefecture Cultural Prize, and in 2014 he was selected for the Paramita Museum Ceramic Grand Prize exhibition. From 2011-2015 he worked throughout Asia, as a Guest Artist at The 6th World Ceramic Art Exhibition Workshop in Korea, Artist in Residence at National Tainan University of the Art, at a Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, as a guest artist at the Uttarayan Art Center, India as well as Baptist University, Hong Kong. Work by him is held in the collections of the Mingei International Museum (USA), the Denver Art Museum, the Miho Museum, the Kurokabe Museum, The World Ceramic Center in Korea, New Taipei City Yingge Ceramic Museum in Taiwan, The National Tainan University of Art and the Uttarayan Art Foundation in India among others.
