Beautifully Designed Antique Bamboo Sumitori Kago Basket

A very unusual footed bamboo basket lined with black paper woven to carry charcoal for use in the Japanese Maccha Tea Ceremony. It is 23 x 23 x 11.5 cm (9-1/2 x 9-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition.
