A stunning small container covered in Maki-e leaves wrapped in a silk lined Sarasa pouch and enclosed in a period wooden box titled Koha Natsume and signed Shomosai. The container is covered with various shades of gold and silver maki-e maple leaves outside, entirely lined with Nashiji within. It is 6.5 x 5 cm (2 9/16 × 1 31/32 inches) and in perfect condition.
