Antique Japanese polished Natural Root-Wood Stand

A polished burl of rootwood flattened to form a stand for a koro or small bonsai display cut from what appears to be the burled rootwood of a keyaki (Zelkova) tree. It is 45 x 19 x 16 cm (18 x 7-1/2 x 6-1/4 inches) and is in excellent condition.
