Fruiting vines grow over the rim of this wan-gata bowl in crackled cream-colored glaze dating from the 19th century stamped Ninsei. It comes wrapped in a white crepe-silk pouch enclosed in an age darkened wooden box titled Ninsei Budo-e Chawan. It is 12 cm (just under 5 inches) diameter, 7 cm (3 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
