Among the 18 artists who contributed to this double sided album dated 1934 are Okada Shiko, Takata Ikkaku, Iida Toka, Kojima Kaho and Nakamura Kazuo. The album is 18 x 24.5 cm (7-1/4 x 9-3/4 inches) and features 9 paintings on each side. Ink and pigment on paper with a silk cover, it comes enclosed in an age darkened period wooden storage box with each artist identified within. It is in overall excellent condition. Okada Shiko was a Kyoto based artist active from the Meiji to early Showa period, known for both Nihonga painting and design, c.ontributing to many books on the subject of design. Takata Ikkaku was also active from the Taisho to early Showa Kyoto based artist known for having strongly promoted the Kyoto art scene nationwide. Iida Toka (b. 1867) was a student of Taki Watei and Inosei Tonei. Kojima Kaho was born in 1900, a student of Yazawa Gengetsu and member of the Nihon Bijutsu-in Art society.
