A tiger drawn completely in wet washes of ink as if seen in a rainstorm looks upward, the edge of his eye tinged with vivid blue the only divergence from soft grays and blacks singed Fuminobu. The inclusion of a modern touch of blue raises this to a new level, creating a striking composition. To boot it is mounted in brilliant mustard colored cloud patterned silk enhancing the wink of blue and features solid ivory rollers (these will be changed for export). Likely 19th century, it is performed with ink on paper. There is creasing across the image in several places. This could be restored to perfect condition if desired at additional (actual) cost.
