As if reflecting in the water, a lotus leaf of carved wood rises up forming a basin over an opposite version of the same covered in applied gold leaf.It is 18 cm (7inches) diameter at the base, 13 cm (5 inches) tall. There are losses along the delicate edges ad much soot accumulation attesting to age. Very unusual, I have never seen anything like it.
