A striking Fresh Water Jar for use in the Japanese Tea Ceremony covered in running pale blue-tinged glaze by Kamei Miraku XIV enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Haku-yu Takefushi Mizusashi.  It is 17 cm (7 inches) diameter, 14.5 cm (just under 6 inches) tall and in excellent original condition.

Kamei Miraku XIV was born in 1931 and studied the plastic arts under his grandfather, the 13th Miraku. He was first accepted into the Fukuoka Prefectural Art Exhibition in 1956, and the 11th National Traditional Craft Exhibition in 1964. That same year, he succeeded to the family name becoming the 14th-generation Miraku. He has endeavored to preserve and perpetuate the Takatori tradition throughout the post-war era and carried it into the 21st century.
