A plate and cup perfect for Sake (or Shochu) and snacks by Suzuki Yusaku intricately decorated with overlapping patterns and a pair of bulging shy eyes enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Yunomi Kozo.The cup is 7.5 cm (3 inches) diameter, 8.5 cm (3-1/2 inches) tall, the plate 6.5 cm (2-1/2 inches) diameter, and both are in excellent conditoin, directly from the artist.
Suzuki Yusaku was born in Aichi prefecture in central Japan in 1991 and graduated the Nagoya Zokei University Ceramics Course in 2014. He started drawing in the latter half of his sophomore year in college and this practice became the foundation of his current artistic style as well as a key element of his work’s appeal. He holds both group and solo exhibitions across Japan.
