A classic bottle form by Nishimura Masaaki enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Tetsu-yu Wara-Hai-yu Uchikake Kaki. The long titled denotes the process, the bottle form is glazed with iron, then the surface is struck with a brush loaded with liquified straw ash, creating the blue rigned white dabs.An added bonus the cooling has caused the glaze to crackle distinctly about the shoulder and on one side. It is 20 cm (8 inches) diameter, 30 cm (12 inches) tall and in excellent condition, directly from the artist this summer.
