Archaic Tensho script flows in vertical lines along gthe six gilded panels of this screen dated from the 6th year of Showa (1931). Ink on applied gold in a black lacquered wooden frame, it is 370 x 173 cm (145-1/2 x 68 inches) and is in overall excellent condition. A few minor losses to the gold along the edges (see detail photos).
