Never seen before, a bamboo root carved into the shape of a skull dating from the early 20th century. It is truly an incredible work of art. Beneath we can clearly see the natural structure of the bamboo. Absolute mastery of design and knowledge of the hollowed structure of bamboo itself would have been essential to complete a carving of this magnitude. It is 11.5 x 14.5 x 8.5 cm (4-1/2 x 5-3/4 x 3-1/2 inches) ad is in excellent condition.
