Kashima Aya was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1987. She graduated from the Department of Arts and Culture at Tokyo Kasei Gakuin University in 2010. In 2020, she completed the Design Course at the Tajimi City Ceramic Design Institute, followed by an additional two years in the institute’s advanced Ceramic Lab, graduating in 2022.
During this period, Kashima participated in numerous group exhibitions. In 2021, she received Nyūsen status at the 55th Exhibition of the Women’s Association of Ceramic Artists (WACA). In 2023, her work was selected for the Ceramic Synergy Exhibition held at the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art.
