Jovana Cavorovic ヨヴァナ・チャヴォロヴィッチ
Jovana Cavorovic began her artistic training in textile design at the Art School Niš, Serbia, in 2004, before turning to ceramics and graduating from the Ceramics Department of the University of Belgrade in 2010. Her work quickly gained recognition across Europe, where it was widely exhibited and awarded, including First Prize at the 18th Belgrade Ceramics Biennial.
In 2018, Jovana relocated to Japan, marking a significant expansion of her practice. Since then, her work has been exhibited and awarded at major Japanese exhibitions and institutions, including the Tobi Art Fair (Tokyo), the 25th Nitoten at the Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum, and the Arita International Ceramics Competition at the Kyushu Ceramic Museum. In 2020, she received both the Mayor’s Prize and First Prize at the Chawan Exhibition in Tajimi, followed by the Satoko Award at the Ishoken / Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center.
Her works are held in public collections including the National Museum of Aranđelovac, Serbia, and the Keramik Museum Westerwald, Germany, among others.
