A set of two cups and a Tokkuri flask enclosed in a white porcelain compartmentalized container decorated with lotus leaves and blossoms by Fujii Takayuki enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Fukisome Hasu Zu Shuki Shyno Bako. The outer container consists of a base and lid, with a divided cylinder between which contains the Tokkuri and two cups. The container is 15 cm (6 inches) diameter, 19 cm (7-1/2 inches) tall. The Tokkuri is 10.5 cm (roughly 4 inches) diameter, 12 cm (roughly 5 inches) tall. The two cups are 7.5 cm (3 inches) diameter, 2.5 cm (I inch) tall. All parts are in fine condition.
Fujii Takayuki was born in Hiroshima in 1973, and graduated the Tokyo University of Art in 1999. His graduation project was purchased by the school. That same year he was first accepted into the 39th Dento Kogei Shinsaku-ten (National Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition). In 2000 he would be accepted into the 47th Nihon Dento Kogeiten (National Traditional Crafts Exhibition) and in 2001 would graduate advanced studies at the Tokyo University of Art. In 2004 he would enter work into the Issui-Kai-ten, and in 2005 be accepted into the Nihon Togei Ten National Ceramics Exhibition where he would later be awarded multiple times.
