A Frankenstein chawan bowl made up of variously textured shards of porcelain put together with gold in the Kintsugi style by rising star Hori Takaharu enclosed in the original signed wooden box.  It is 14 x 15.5 x 7.5 cm (5-1/2 x 6 x 3 inches). 

Hori Takaharu was born in Tokyo in 1996. He Graduated from Aichi Prefecture Seto Ceramics High School in 2016 and entered the Udatsuyama Artist Research center, where he lived and worked for five years.  Upon completion of his studies, he established his own Studio in 2020 in Kanazawa city.  He was awarded at the 73rd Kanazawa City Craft Exhibition in 2017, and the Mayor’s Prize of the 74th Kanazawa City Craft Exhibition in 2018 as well as Grand Prize in Tableware Competition 2019 and was awarded at the Kasama Ceramics Exhibition in 2021.  He was selected as one of six finalists for the Paramita Museum Grand Prize in 2022.
