After establishing his own kiln in Kise, Shigaraki, in 1999, he quickly gained recognition through a series of solo and group exhibitions, including Feast of Karatsu, Hagi and Shigaraki at Kobe Hankyu Art Gallery (2000), Gallery Tosei in Kyoto (2002), the Shigaraki Ware New Generation exhibition at Takatsuki Matsuzakaya Art Gallery (2005), solo exhibitions at Ikebukuro Tobu in Tokyo (2007) and Contemporary Ceramic Art Salon Tosei at Daimaru Shinsaibashi in Osaka (2008).
