Kato Yoshiyasu was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1985 and graduated from the Kurashiki University of Science and Arts in 2008. He graduated from the Tajimi City Ishoken Ceramics Research Facility in 2014, remaining in neighboring Toki City until setting up his own studio in Nishio in 2018.
