A variety of gorgeous pastel colors in thick pin-holed glaze flows over these three vases by Nagaya Yu and Doi Takeshi, the team known as Vaseman, each enclosed in their original signed wooden boxes. The colors range from milky white to blue to black to sunset yellows and reds. A striking trio! They range from 18.5 to 32.5 cm (7-1/2 to 13 inches) tall and are in perfect condition, directly from the artists.
Created by ceramic artists Nagaya Yu and Doi Takeshi, founders of the ceramic brand 3RD CERAMICS based in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, each work is the result of a collaborative process. Doi and Nagaya reimagine the flower vessel as a work of art, approaching this familiar form from an entirely new perspective. Nagaya is responsible for throwing and forming the vessel on the potter's wheel, while Doi oversees the glazes and firing, together producing a single work conceived as an artistic expression rather than merely a functional object.
