The broad leaves of a Fuki plant in various shades of olive decorate this elegant covered container by Naito Rokuro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Fuki Futamono. It is 27 cm (11 inches) diameter, 9 cm (3-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
Naito Rokuro was born in Tokyo in 1950 and graduated advanced studies in ceramics at the Tokyo University of Arts in 1976. He has exhibited with the Nihon Dento Kogei Ten National Traditional Crafts exhibition and Nihon Togeiten National Ceramics exhibition among many others.
