A small raw-wood portable cabinet with two drawers and removable lid revealing a striking interior of powdered gold nashiji inset with an ink-stone and ornate water dropper in shape of cluster of chrysanthemum. The outer surface is beautifully figured cedar. It comes enclosed in a period wooden box. The cabinet is 18.7 x 30.2 x 14 cm (7-1/2 x 12 x 5-1/2 inches) and in overall excellent condition. One corner of lid has been impressed flat, but not chipped or cracked or broken.
