Charles Lindsay チャールズ・リンゼイ

Charles Lindsay (b. 1961, San Francisco) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses concepts of time, technology, ecosystems, and semiotics. His practice encompasses immersive environments, evocative acoustic spaces, and kinetic visual works, often constructed from aerospace and biotechnological waste, resulting in highly reflective sculptural forms.

A Guggenheim Fellow, Lindsay is the founder of the SETI Institute’s artist-in-residence program, SETI AIR, and a New York Times bestselling author. His work is widely recognized for pioneering new intersections between science, technology, and artistic expression.

Currently based in Kyoto, Japan, Lindsay is deeply engaged in the study of consciousness, exploring the implications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on the future of humanity while continuing to develop new forms of expression at the intersection of art, science, and technology.
